The alliance formed between the merger of Sumitomo Heavy Construction Crane Company and Hitachi Construction Machinery Company Ltd in 2001, created one of the largest construction crane manufacturers in the world - Hitachi-Sumitomo Heavy Industries Construction Crane Co. Ltd..
By integrating both Hitachi & Sumitomo into a new corporate culture, they are able to offer the best cranes with the most supplicated design and specifications to the world crane market.
The current Hitachi-Sumitomo range of Crawler Cranes extends from their SCX400 (40 metric tone) through to the SCX6500 (650 metric tone). The popularity of the brand can be gauged by the number of these cranes operating on various construction & mining sites throughout the country.
