Sumitomo SH300-5 Excavator

Sumitomo Construction Machinery & Manufacturing Co Ltd of Chiba Japan, has just released two new DASH 5 Series Excavators to the Australian market — the 24 tonne SH240-5 and the 30 tonne SH300-5. These two models are completely new machines to compliment the SH210-5 released in January 2007.

Their main features are:

  • Engine & Hydraulics - New Tier 3 engines with common rail and pressurised fuel injection system, new work modes for greater fuel efficiency, new hydraulic oil flow control and increased pump efficiency.
  • Durability - Stronger boom and arm, ridged upper side frame and improved
    undercarriage components for longer wear life.
  • Maintenance - Larger fuel tank, engine oil drain coupler, high performance
    hydraulic return line filter and revised ground level maintenance for ease of
    servicing.
  • Operator Comfort - Redesigned cabin and suspension seat for optimum operator comfort, sliding seat and tilting console to improve operator ergonomics, auto air and pressurised cabin with lower in-cab operational noise.  
  • Safety - Wide view to front and sides improves safety at work, new gate
    look levers, large step & handrail improves operators entry & exit from the cabin and emergency safety stop switch.
