Sumitomo Construction Machinery & Manufacturing Co Ltd of Chiba Japan, has just released a new Sumitomo 45 tonne excavator to the Australian market which will be known as model SH450LDH-3B.
This unit weights in at 46,500kg, has a long undercarriage, is available with a Sumitomo ROPS/FOPS canopy, has a cat walk or bump guards and is painted in the new distinctive Sumitomo livery.
Operator comfort has been improved and servicing is extremely user friendly due to the ground access to the engine and hydraulic filters without climbing onto the upper part of the engine house, thereby reducing time and service labour costs.
Some of the main specifications:
- New Isuzu 6 cylinder Tier 3 engine with common rail and pressurised fuel.
- Injection system developing 270 kw @ 1950 rpm. The engine has electronic control and is turbocharged with an air cooled intercooler.
- Hydraulic pumps are 2 x 360 litres/min and pilot pump max, oil flow 30 litres/min.
- Oil filtration—return filter 10 microns, return bypass 1 micron.
- Swing speed 0-9 rpm.
- Travel speed 3.1 to 5.3 km/h and tractive force is 341 kN.
- Triple Grouser Shoe of 600mm is standard with option of 750mm.
- Ground pressure 85 kPa.
- Bucket digging force (ISO6015) with auto power up - 270 kN.
- Boom 6.98 metres (heavy duty).
- Dipper 3.38 metres (heavy duty).
- Bucket H/Duty 1.8 metre with 2 metre option.
- Fuel tank 610 litres.
- Hydraulic tank 230 litres.
- Max digging radius 12 metres.
- Max digging depth 7.72 metres.
- Max dump height 7.74 metres.
- Transport dimensions: length 11.96m x width 3.35m x height 3.6m.
New stocks of this model are now arriving into Australia and would be suitable for contractors who are involved in bulk material loading operations, to demolition contractors and quarry operators.
